This week I dove further into the works of the creators of The Curse, Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie. The former brings reality closer to fiction, while the latter brings fiction closer to reality, making for a pairing I had no idea I needed so much. Their individual styles are so distinct, but shine through in their collaboration so clearly, combining to create something completely original. Emma Stone adds another element to the mix; her performance as Whitney is so captivating, and plays off of the other two main characters (the creators) perfectly. Between this and Poor Things, she’s surprised me in becoming a recent favourite of mine.
